Tomáš Kovács is world champion in professional boxing and is currently the most successful Slovak boxer. His father Pavol is a former Czechoslovak champion and multiple representative. Tomáš began with boxing at his hometown Galanta and after a year of his activity became Master of Slovak republic. During his amateur career he fought more than 220 matches and showed his art in several European countries, including Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Denmark and Germany, not loosing any of the matches for the whole four years. In January 2008 Tomáš received an interesting offer from Hungary and he moved to the professional boxing.  His professional debut won by KO.  Undefeated he won several titles in middleweight professional boxing ring - 20 wins, including 13 KOs. In December 2009 in a thrilling fight with Kenyan Samson Onyango became the world champion of World Boxing Foundation in middleweight. On 25th February 2011 in a duel with Hamza Wander from Uganda was awarded  European champion of WBO. His final victory was held in Trnava against German Steve Krökel in 8 round game.
